Weekend one of the most covet American music festival hosted in the Palm Springs desert came to an electric close on Sunday night by none other than Taylor Swift’s beau, Calvin Harris, who surprised the crowd with a little bit of some @badgalriri. The known-to-be star studded weekend is one of the easiest venues to catch a glimpse of your favourite celebrities and artists all in one place. The performers who graced the stage were headlined by names such as LCD Soundsystem, Ellie Goulding, A$AP Rocky, Ice Cube, Halsey, Sia, and last but not least, Guns and Roses, just to name a few. Not to mention some of their killer special/surprise guests like Kanye West, Sam Smith, G-Eazy, NWA, Tiesto, Snoop Dogg, Skrillex and Lorde, and of course, many more. However, the music is great and everything, and it IS a festival for music, but it also is a place to be seen, therefor Coachella attire has successfully created a category of its own. Think western flower child crossed with Slash and Pocahontas, you see what I’m saying? Half the excitement of the whole ordeal is actually going onto Instagram (if you’re not there) and seeing what the celebrities are going to show up in, and how many outfit changes they are willing to endure to keep the vibe’s flowing. This year we saw a lot less flower crowns and fringe, and a lot more chokers, lace, and bandana’s around the necks of both the guys and gals trying to channel Alec Monopoly (see Bella Hadid and The Weekend). Incase you missed it, here are the best looks and Instagram’s from the first three days of Coachella.
The second hottest ticket in town for the weekend was to Revolve Clothing’s Desert House, and those on the guest list included Alessandra Ambrosio, Jamie Chung, Shanina Shaik, Chanel Iman, Shay Mitchell, Chiara Ferragani, and the entire Victoria’s Secret angel roster. The private estate was home to dozens of exclusive racks filled with clothes and pretty much what dreams are made of.
